Christmas Information

Just a few things you might need to know when planning your Christmas...

• The Fish Shed will be CLOSED on Christmas Day & Boxing Day. Reopens 10 am, 27th December.

• Please place orders for Christmas (& New Year, if possible) before 4 pm on Tuesday, 16th December.

  • This gives us enough time to source your special orders and arrange for you to collect them just before Christmas.

  • Email us via the link below or call the shop during open hours to speak with staff.

• Please note that the availability of fresh fish/shellfish may be an issue. This could be due to cold/bad weather and/or suppliers' shutdown periods. We will always do our best to fulfil your orders where possible.

• CHRISTMAS EVE ORDERS - Please collect your order from the shop by 2pm on Christmas Eve.

• When you order, be sure to let us know what preparation you would like - e.g. fresh fish - gutted and scaled, head on/off, filleted, packed with ice for a long trip? Smoked fish - vac-packed for a gift? Shellfish - lobsters split, dressed or boiled crab, shell on or peeled prawns, frozen or already defrosted (ready to eat)?

  • Please note that splitting lobsters is not advisable if you are not consuming them within an hour of collection. They dry out very quickly.

  • Please note that we do not open oysters. We will happily give you a lesson on the best method to open them.

An absolute find. The staff were so friendly and had a good chuckle about hotel mattresses lol. Possibly the best crab I've ever had. This place is the business with a great selection of sea food. We also took a crab back for an 84 year old Norfolk lady who also agreed its the best crab she's ever had. We will be back.
